Stext me, baby

Stexting example

I’ve recently started stexting, I’m doing it more often each day, and I’m hoping you’ll join me and start stexting too.

As everyone has heard by now, sitting a lot is really unhealthy for you, even if you exercise consistently.  The clickbait headlines overstate it as “sitting is the new smoking,” but the hyperbole is due to the stats: If you sit for more than 6 hours a day, you are 40% more likely to die within 15 years than someone who sits less than 3 hours a day – even if you exercise!  We sit more than we do anything else. We average 9.3 hours a day of sitting, compared to 7.7 hours of sleeping.

So I’ve decided to start “stexting.”  We all text a lot.   As a result, the position your body is in when texting matters a lot.  “Stexting” is standing while texting…what did you think it was? 😉

Make a commitment to stand, stand on one leg, hold your phone higher and adjust upper body posture and head position, whatever you can think of to vary the position you are in when texting.

So start stexting right now.  I’ll be stexting everyone I know, whenever I send them a message whenever I can.

Don’t just follow…Follow, think, and move! Find Funtensity on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter social media platforms.
